Big Poconos State Park is the closest park to the resort, just 15 minutes away! Explore 8.5 miles of hiking trails that wind up Camelback Mountain, offering views of cliffsides and three surrounding states. Once you’ve reached the top, we recommend setting up a picnic and watching for local wildlife!

Tobyhana State Park

Visit Tobyhana State Park and discover the 5,440-acre park through hiking, biking, swimming, boating, and fishing adventures. Whether you want to cool down from the heat at Tobyhana Lake or explore rugged hiking trails, there are summer activities for everyone at this state park!

Gouldsboro State Park

Gouldsboro State Park is wrapped around the 250-acre Gouldsboro Lake, a popular destination for fishing, boating, and swimming. Discover seven miles of hiking trails that connect to Tobyhana State Park for more exploration!

Hickory Run State Park

Hickory Run State Park is the largest of the Poconos parks near Mountain Springs Lake Resort, offering almost 16,000 acres for exploration. There are three distinct natural areas to discover, including a boulder field, mud swamp, and water features. Popular attractions include over 40 miles of hiking trails leading to waterfalls, streams stocked with trout, and the geologic wonders of Boulder Field.

Beltzville State Park

Beltzville State Park offers 3,000 acres of outdoor recreation surrounding the 949-acre Beltzville Lake. Enjoy an afternoon swimming, boating, and fishing at the lake or hit the trails and explore forests, creek valleys, and fields. 

Lehigh Gorge State Park

Lehigh Gorge State Park is your one-stop destination for summer fun! Explore over 33 miles of hiking trails with scenic vistas, cascading waterfalls, and views of the Lehigh River. We recommend the Lehigh Gorge Trail for exceptional views of Buttermilk and Luke’s Falls. Other activities at the park include fishing, whitewater rafting, wildlife viewing, and biking. 

Promised Land State Park

Promised Land State Park is the furthest park from the resort but only 40 minutes away! The 3,000-acre park is surrounded by 12,000 acres of the Delaware State Forest, offering abundant recreational opportunities. Popular activities include hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, and biking. 

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area

The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area offers 70,000 acres of breathtaking scenery along the Delaware River. We recommend exploring the 28-mile section of the famous Appalachian Trail that winds through the park. Other activities include bicycling, boating, paddling, fishing, and waterfall hikes.
