Lace up your hiking shoes and take a moment for reflection and relaxation amongst the beautiful waterfalls in the Poconos:
Bushkill Falls
Known as the Niagara of Pennsylvania, Bushkill Falls is just a 40-minute drive from our resort. This famous natural attraction features eight waterfalls accessible through a network of hiking trails and bridges. The green trail is great for families looking for a short hike, while the red trail is ideal for visitors who want to see all eight waterfalls. While here, you can also mine gemstones, enjoy an afternoon of fishing, or picnic by the falls.
Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area
Drive an hour from Mountain Springs Lake Resort and access three beautiful waterfalls within Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area:
Raymondskill Falls is the tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania, accessible from a .3 mile out and back trail off Raymondskill Road. Hit the trail to access both the upper and lower viewing areas, but be careful hiking this trail as it is fairly steep and uneven.
Drive to the Dingman Falls Visitor Center and walk the easy boardwalk trail to see the impressive cascades of both Dingman Falls and Silverthread Falls.
Lehigh Gorge State Park Waterfalls
Make the 40-minute drive to Lehigh Gorge State Park Rockport Access Area and hike to these Poconos waterfalls:
From the parking area, hike .3 miles upstream to access the 50-foot Buttermilk Falls.
Return to the parking area and hike .3 miles downstream to Luke’s Falls.
Hickory Run State Park, Hawk Falls
Drive half an hour to the Hickory Run State Park access in Albertville and park along Route 534 just east of the Turnpike overpass to access the trailhead. Wander along the .6-mile forest trail past Rhododendron thickets and scenic footbridges to access the scenic 25-foot Hawk Falls.
